Key Public Engagement Dates
Initial Public Consultation Event – June 2020
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, it was not possible to hold the first public consultation day (PCD) within the village as previously planned. To comply with the Government restrictions and guidelines, the format of the public consultation event was altered to ensure that all contact was via brochure and flyer drops and electronic means.
In advance of this PCD event, brochures and questionnaires were distributed to residents and businesses within the village. The brochure outlined the stages of the project along with an overview of the works completed to date, flood risk management options under consideration and possible solutions together with the CFRAMS scheme option as proposed.
Fliers and posters were also distributed for display in local businesses. These fliers directed residents to the brochure and questionnaire on the Limerick City & County Council website.
The brochure and questionnaire were uploaded to the Limerick City & County Council ‘Castleconnell Flood Relief Scheme’ web page.
A soft copy of the brochure and questionnaire were emailed to relevant stakeholders.
A report summarising feedback received, along with a copy of the brochure and questionnaire, is available on our Project Documents Page.
