Preferred Option Public Participation Event - 6th September 2023
As part of the ongoing development of a viable Flood Relief Scheme for Castleconnell, Co. Limerick, Limerick City & County Council, in conjunction with the Office of Public Works and the appointed environmental and engineering consultants JBA Consulting and JB Barry & Partners, wish to invite members of the public, local businesses and organisations to attend a Public Participation Day. This will provide an opportunity to provide feedback on the identified preferred option ahead of the planning submission for the proposed Flood Relief Scheme.
The scheme is currently in the preferred option development phase. The project team previously presented three scheme options to the public at a public participation day in Castleconnell in September 2022. Based on the feedback received at this event, along with other key considerations, a preferred option was identified and is currently being progressed to planning stage. The purpose of the upcoming Public Participation Day is to present the preferred option in further detail to interested parties and provide an opportunity to engage with the project team and share feedback ahead of the planning submission.
The event will take place in the Castle Oaks House Hotel, Castleconnell, Co. Limerick, V94 EH94 on Wednesday 6th September 2023.
Drop in any time from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Further information on the Castleconnell Flood Relief Scheme and questionnaires will be made available on the Project Documents Page after the event, for members of the public to view.
Limerick City & County Council and OPW would welcome feedback from members of the public. Questionnaires to submit comments, observations and queries will be available both on-line and at the Castle Oaks House Hotel on the night.
Limerick City & County Council would encourage interested parties to attend and engage with this event. All feedback received will be treated in strict accordance with GDPR regulations.
